Stranger Things was released on Netflix earlier this year and no one could have guessed how big the show would be. It was a hit everywhere and fans are waiting to hear news about the upcoming second season from the Duffer brothers. Well, wait no longer! The Hollywood Reporter have the scoop for us.
Matt and Ross Duffer have enlisted the help from a Dacre Montgomery and Sadie Sink as series regulars while Joe Kerry (Steve Harrington) and Noah Schnapp (Will Byers) have been promoted to season regulars.
Sadie Sink will play Max. A confident girl whose appearance, behaviour and pursuits seem more typical of a boys personality than a girls in this era. She has a complicated history and is suspicious of those around her.
Dacre Montgomery will be playing Billy, Max’s older edgy step brother. He’s the one that steals girlfriends away from their boyfriends and the typically the new ‘bad boy’ of the show. Underneath all of that is a violent and unpredictable nature.
Sounds like we’re in for a bumpy ride for the next season.
Details about the upcoming season remain quiet but the addition of Max and Billy as two new faces for the hit Netflix show mean that fans have something to look forward too. I know I do.
“There’s definitely a handful of really compelling new characters this season, but absolutely servicing the core group first and foremost,” exec producer Shawn Levy told THR. “Like the show itself, it’s multigenerational new characters and really, really intriguing ones.”
