The 2017-2018 television season is looking bright for the four DC TV shows that are on the CW.
Arrow, Supergirl, The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow where all renewed for next season along with Supernatural, Jane the Virgin and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.
Arrow started back in 2012 and with this renewal it now means that fans get to see Stephen Amell put the hood back on and become The Arrow for a sixth season.
The Flash aired in 2014 where fans got to see Grant Gustin take on the role of loved character Barry Allen. This renewal means that fans get to see a fourth season with Barry, Cisco, Caitlin and the gang.
Legends of Tomorrow premiered in 2015 and saw the most unlikely of heroes and villains all team up together to save the world over and over again. This renewal gives them a third season.
Supergirl which first aired on CBS in 2015 came to end in 2016 on that channel but CW picked it up and gave it life giving the show a second and now a third season. Whilst Supergirl is part of the CW’s DC universe Supergirl technically exists in a separate universe from the other CW shows. As we saw in the four-way crossover episodes Cisco vibed him and Barry through and then gave Kara to communicate and travel across Earths, she can come over to Earth-1 at any time.
“When announcing the news, CW president Mark Pedowitz noted that the early renewals of the shows gave showrunners time to plan for next season. Premiere dates will be announced at a later time.” As reported by comicbook.com
